hat
is peculiar about Pascal Piffero,
is his ability to pluralize talent...
Illustrations,
graphic design, drawings, photography;
the range of styles is as wide as his
palette of tools! From ancient etching
to modern-times pixels or with the usage
of pigments, he has the ability to master
any technique that can bring colors to
our gray cells.
Many will recall that
at the time he was still wearing out his
brushes and his charcoals, to refine perspectives,
chiaroscuros or catch-letters, Apple was
just an English Record Label and the mouse
a small rodent fond of Swiss cheese. But
maybe academic training did have some
real value, as it helped him gain knowledge
about software, and a fast access to major
advertising agencies; a good move that
soon would enable him to be granted several
Adverting Awards (the prestigious “Prix
Stratégies” in his home country
of France.)
After this first cycle of success, and
with the wind regaining force, Pascal
Piffero revived his other true passion,
the ocean, and decided to launch his own
Agency, “Sous-Marin Jaune”,
the Yellow Submarine. During the next
four years, from Paris to Brittany, his
agency brought some real spice to the
advertising business sphere. For this
kind of journey, having a skipper’s
flair is definitively an asset. Creativity
and speed, together with a good knowledge
of currents can be valuable when it becomes
necessary to promptly maneuver in the
midst of big structures.
Wearied of sailing around,
a seaman is sometimes tempted to disembark.
As he anticipated the giant wave that
soon would revolutionize the world of
communication, Pascal, who’s friends
in the business and other sailing associates
affectionately call Pif, decided to drop
his traveling bag at the Belvédère
Advertising Agency in Paris.
Inspired by a new form
of navigation, this time with a browser,
Pif is now interested in tracing new routes
on the World Wide Web. As it is by the
shores of the Pacific Ocean that the winds
seems to be the more favorable for these
new explorers, and acknowledging that
such adventure was surely not only reserved
for engineers, he set sails for Silicon
Valley. Embarked on an ambitious Internet
project, he will dedicate the next six
years of his career elaborating on ergonomics
and new navigation tools, for the creation
of the Planet Web’s new landscapes.
Illustrator, Graphic Designer
and Art Director, at this stage of his
journey Pif has achieved his first world
tour of communication, and at the dawn
of his roaring forties, has no intention
to drop anchor.
May all pioneers in search
of unexplored lands or treasure islands,
be aware that without a doubt, he is the
one who will skip safely your crew back
to the harbor, regardless of stormy weather
or trade winds.
